To the Desert
Atlas Mountains, Morocco
The rugged beauty of the Atlas Mountains reminded me somewhat of Big Bend National Park in the southwest corner of our home state of Texas. The winding road shown here is quite memorable for me as I had gotten food poisoning on our last night in Marrakech, which made the 9-hour drive to the Sahara Desert through these winding, sometimes bumpy, roads in the back of a car a bit challenging. However, the beauty of the Sahara Desert and the adventure of going deeper into the Sahara made it all worthwhile.
