Quang Ganh
Hanoi, Vietnam
Throughout Vietnam, and especially in Hanoi, the streets are filled with street vendors, primarily women, young and old, carrying their products in Quang ganh. A set of Quang ganh consists of a pole which is made from bamboo and two baskets made from different materials, such as bamboo, rattan, woven ropes and steel wires. In the baskets are fruit and other agricultural products, candies, sticky rice, as well as whatever the vendor needs for the day as they travel through the streets.
A woman in a conical hat with their Quang ganh has become an iconic image of Vietnam
